When a young Palestinian girl detonated an explosive pack while trying to enter a supermarket in Jerusalem, she took three lives: A young Israeli girl of the same age, a security guard, and her own. The emotionally devastated mother of the Israeli girl wishes to speak with the mother of the Palestinian girl and eventually gets her wish. This surprising documentary film aired on HBO and includes a short animation by 1Q that helps show the striking similarity between victim and killer. This film leads audiences to ask the unspoken question: How could two people so similar be so ruthlessly at odds?
